Woodcutting

Location
…First
of all you must have the quest ‘The rock Golem’ finished, but if not you can spend like 30 mins doing it, as it
is really short. To the southeast corner of the map near the rock Golem quest start, there is a single tree. This tree is
a teak tree. Teak logs sell for roughly 1k each, and planks can be as much as 2k ea for the purpose of construction. You need
an extremely low level to cut this tree, and you’ll be happy to know that each of the logs cut as fast as willows, and
they are worth the same value as a mage log. There is only one tree, but they do spawn incredibly fast

Banking
After
completing the Rock Golem quest, you have access to the magic carpet to the Ulzar mines, which you can get from Shantay pass.
This tree is in the desert, so you will need to get a Shantay pass, and ONE water skin. This should be nearly enough water to last the journey there and back.

Selling
Teak
logs can be hard to sell at times, as a lot of people sell them, but they take forever cutting them in Karamja. This method
is much quicker, allowing you to get much more logs, but you still have the burden of selling them. Also, a lot of players
sell teak logs at cheaper prices, this may affect your business, and most buyers like to buy teak planks not logs, so you will have to waste even more time
changing them into planks.
Generally, this method is great for money, because you can easily bring 2mil+ everyday, so I’d
advise you to try it out. Although it can get boring as there are generally not a lot of people there, apart from questers
that you can talk to, and it has a very indefinite future as teak prices fluctuate a lot, but do not usually go below 1k a
log, it is also relatively hard to find eager buyers, but will always remain better and faster than mage cutting.
The teak prices were correct at this time.
Fishing
Ah fishing, a very common
and social way to gain some cash. Although it can be slow and grievous, as time seems to stretch on forever as you try to
get the last 1k fish to buy a whip. Well here are some pointers on making money faster:
If you’re not generally
interested in getting levels up, then I advise you do not cook your fish, as this wastes time, and slows the entire process
down. For example, say you fish 10,000 lobbies, in the time taken to cook those you could have fished another 5,000. Another
tip is to fish sharks with a fishing potion (4), they will be caught faster.
A lot of fish are worth
more raw, such as lobbies, they are roughly 200-250 cooked, but they can go for as much as 300-350 raw, this means that you
can catch more fish in the time it takes you to cook them and make even more profit as they are worth more raw.
Some fish, however, are worth less raw. Sharks can be sold for 900-1000 cooked, whereas raw they are 800-900,
but in the time it takes to cook them you could have fished a lot more, also sharks have a much higher burn rate, unless you
are 99 cooking, so they are not worth cooking, unless you want the experience of course.
Location
There’s no rocket
science here, everyone knows the good fishing spots. Catherby and the Fishing Guild are your best options, although there
are several more.
If you are
a non-member, fishing is generally useless for money, as it take far too long to travel to Karamja to get the good fishies.
Although, if you are taking it as your primary money making skill. I advise lobster fishing. Sell the lobsters cooked in
a good PKing world at Edgeville bank.

Mining
I’m quite new to
the mining skill, not that I don’t mine, it’s just that I have never mined for money, so I’m generally not
aware of the mining economy, but from mining knowledge, I know that it takes a long time to mine anything above coal. So I’d
advise sticking to iron mining and coal mining, or possibly smithing the bars and selling the steel. Mith and adamant take
far too long to mine, and they take far too long to reappear and there’s no good place to mine them in excess.
Rune mining was once a good way to make money, but it’s generally useless now, as there are
too many rune miners about, using rune as their primary money source. Although I did know a very rich fellow that got a party
hat set because of rune mining.
Location
For iron the best location
is Yanille mining area outside the walled town, it is relatively close to a bank and has compact iron ore rocks. For coal
mining it has to be the good ‘ole mining Guild, but if you do not have access to there you can use the Ardougne
mine, which is relatively close to a bank and generally empty.
I advise selling all your wares on the forums, but make
sure you have a good compilation.

Many
people use their combat to gain money, although this can be indefinite and uncertain. Good choices are to range, mage or melee
hellhounds, in Taverly dungeon, until they drop a clue. Generally if you were lucky with clues you could get around 2-3 level
three clues a day, that’s on a relatively good day, but the rewards are uncertain. Although this method can be fun and
exciting, that is why it appeals so many people.
Barrows
trips can surprisingly be very rewarding gain the person a great deal of money, as you can make a whole bunch of
barrows trips in one day, and get lucky and leave with mils of money.
Clever
barrow fighters use the Mort Myre quest to be able to access the general store which is close by, so they can sell then buy
back their noted sharks and pots, thus meaning that they can make loads of trips without having to bank until they get
a good drop.
This method is also very uncertain, and a lot of people use barrows trips for money, this is why Barrows armour
has depreciated so quickly compared to other items.
Kalphite
hunting. I’m not sure if this method is great for money and it can be hard to master. Generally a high combat and
defence level is required, but believe it or not this method can be used by a single person, without a team. I have seen this
with my own eyes, so I know it can be done, but it is generally hard to grasp, and may take a couple of tries before you kill
the beast. Also dying is quite immanent.
Below
is a picture outlining what you should bring. The purple potion is a super restore, which restores more prayer than a regular
prayer potion does. Veracs is a must if you are looking to have any chance of beating the KQ by yourself or with a small team.
Alternatively you could bring less sharks and a super attack and super defence potion and switch the Lumbridge teleport for
a camelot teleport and use the alter near the yew trees to recharge your prayer and teleport to duel arena or Lumbridge to
start again. You can also heal and restore your prayer at the duel arena.

Pking. This is most likely the most fun and enjoying way to make money, but it generally has
to be left to the ones that know how the wilderness works. Not for the faint hearted, as you may get killed a good few times,
but pking can be used to bring in great spoils, such as Dharoks and whips. You may even get lucky
and kill a lure with a rare :). We can all dream….
Lol. Overall, I’d leave this method to the ones that know how to do it.
Staking
is by far the best way to make money using combat skills, although this works best if you are a pure. You can either make
tons of money in minutes, or lose it all. This is a skill in itself and generally you would need a lot of practise to perfect
it. Hone your skills, and in time it will pay off big time. Check out the pure guide on this website, for more information
on making a pure for staking.
Below
are a few pictures of my friends stakes

Drops. This is probably the worst way to make money with combat. Killing until you get good drops. Although
it can reel in some money while training, I wouldn’t hold on it to make all your money. The arrival of slayer made drops
even more fruitful, the higher your level the better I suppose, but it’s generally worth nothing any more. The price
of slayer drops have plummeted, and its barely not even worth getting started to 85 slayer, as a whip is worth nothing these
days, you’d be lucky to get one a week apparently.
In conclusion, getting drops is a good way to make money while training, but don’t count on it for anything
else.
Thieving
No matter what any one
says, thieving is completely useless for anything, it cannot be used in anyway for money. There is no possible way to make
decent money, and personally I see it as a waste of a skill. What ever you do, do not use this skill. Like what will stealing
cakes get you…

Oddly enough, crafting
can be a really good way to make money, but I’m not talking about bowstrings, because they are boring and slow for money,
although with out a doubt the best way for a low level to make money.
Crafting generally involves
a great input from the player to come out with good profiting results. Such methods include making battle staves and alching
them, this can be time consuming, so it helps to pay someone to help you out, to reduce time and increase profit. This skill
needs to be well planned out to avoid disappointment, so don’t shoot straight into it without thinking ahead, but if
you know how things work you should have no problem getting this into a good money making skill.

Other methods include
collecting green hides, from dragons. You can craft the hides and alch for 1.5k per hide if you make vambs, and sell the dragon
bones. This method is a popular method, as it gets you crafting and combat experience. Although the only source of green dragons
is in the wilderness, so you are susceptible to getting pked, and they are generally very busy.
There’s not much else to say about crafting as jewellery making is pointless, and can gain you very
little money over a long time. Bowstrings will always remain a fairly common way to gain money, as there is always a huge
market for bowstrings. The best way to make more money for bowstrings, is to strings a lot of them, probably around 10k, and
sell them for 200 ea on the forums. Alternatively you could but flax for 100 and sell bowstring for 200.
Fletching
Fletching is the most
diverse and easiest skill in the game, as it can be used to so many benefits, but the primary benefit is money making. Most
people accept fletching as the best way to make money, but there are betters.
Although fletching is very definite as there is always a good selling price, or alching price for
bows, so it remains the most reliable money making skill in the game A good fletcher will either buy the raw materials cheap,
i.e. bowstrings for 150 ea, yews 250 ea from non-members and sell the finished product for 600gp.
Alternatively the fletcher could make his/her own natures, and buy the raw materials cheap and alch
the finished bow. Personally I advise staying clear of mage logs, as their prices seem to rise to 1,100gp and they are hard
to buy in bulk. Stick to yews, as they are cheaper, and they can be bought in bulk, and they mean more alching, for more mage
experience, but overall remember not to buy the raw materials from the forums, the prices are too high, and they are only
for desperate alchers and fletchers.
There is pretty much
no profit in buying all the raw materials, including natures, bowstrings and yews, with the fluctuation of natures these days,
so I wouldn’t advise this, unless you are after the magic exp of course.

Also try to take advantage
of weaker members and non-members by haggling prices of yews down a bit. Also try this method with bowstrings, but the string
sellers seem much more stubborn for some reason. Remember you will most likely never see the seller again (unless they are
a perm seller) so offer the worst prices, then move up if they refuse. It’s well worth the shot, and it can make you
a ‘few bob’ in the process. Also, remember, take advantage of every situation,
if a mage log seller is selling mages at 900 gp each, don’t hesitate to buy them and put them to good use. This method
works for all skills, especially with fletching and buying raw fish cheap.
Farming
and herblore
Farming, combined with herblore can make you a huge profit. The ability to grow your own herbs to
process them into potions and sell them for ridiculously high prices on the forums can make you mils. The process is slow
and hard to grasp, so I advise you getting some practise with this.
This is how I advise you do this. Plant rannar seeds in as many herb patches as you can. Herbs do
not need water, so I advise you use super compost on the patch, to avoid the plants from dying, and do something else.
In the spare time you have, you could be growing limpwurts in the flower patches, as they grow extremely
quickly and sell for as much as 1k each on the forums. While your herbs are growing I suggest you do some herb merchanting,
this involves you buying any and all unid herbs from sellers in the bank from 500-1k ea herb. It generally doesn’t matter
even if the herbs are guams and marras, as they can still be sold for 600 ea on the forums, which I accept as a loss, but
other herbs such as rannars sell for 7,000 ea so it makes up for a lot of the loss. Buy every herb you can, obviously ignore
trades that you know are spelling bad news, or ask the buyer to test a herb, if he refuses it means he has bad herbs. Make
a good collection of these herbs you are buying. While you are buying these herbs, look out for other things that may catch
your eyes, such as buying cheap limpwurt seeds and cheap rannar seeds (anything around 10k is a great deal, as they sell for
20k on the forums), or you could alternatively alch and buy herbs at the same time, so you have a constant flow of money.
Herbs such as rannars, and any snap dragon seeds that you may get can be seeded and turned into super
restore and prayer pots, which always have big markets, apart from those pots I suggest you sell all the rest of your herbs
at the regular retail forum price. Below is a pricing list, which was correct at the time this guide was made.
Most herb merchants can
only identify roughly to this herb. You may find the forums useful for other herb prices.
There are various miscellaneous
herbs that can only be gained through farming, such as snapdragon and toadflax etc. So these are not included in the 11 stacks.
There is a precautionary
method you can take to avoid buying any herbs that you do not want. This is how it is done:
1)
Gather a good collection of herbs, but do not identify them. Keep gathering herbs until you have roughly more than
5 of each herb. That means you should have 11 stacks. A good place to gather herbs is in Edgeville dungeon, in the wilderness
area, you can fight chaos druids, which drop herbs extremely often, and use a glory ammy to teleport to Edgeville to bank
the goods.
2)
Once you have gathered a collection of herbs you will need to organise them in your bank or invent in order of increasing
herblore level. Do this by removing 1 herb from each stack in the same order they are in your bank. Identify these herbs,
and use your identified herbs to order your bank starting with guams and going upwards.
3)
When buying herbs, keep a noted unid herb in your invent space of the herbs you want. Such as “buying all herbs
above Harralander” So you will keep a stack of unids herbs above Harralander in your invent. For ease of use, keep your
bank organised from herbs going upwards, it makes it easier the next time you will be herb merchanting.
4)
In your invent you should now have one of each noted unid herb that you want to buy. The rest of your invent should
hold your money (some farming stuff if you are farming) and have the rest filled with non stackable items. I have used willow
logs.
5)
You will then offer your price to buying unid herbs above a certain herb. If the buyer tries to con you, they will
not be able to trade, as you will only be able to accept the herbs in your invent. On the other hand it could be an honest
mistake, as the seller may have some unidentified snapdragon etc…

This is possibly the best way to make money, as it is quick, and relatively easy to start as long as you have
the correct level. Although the recent fluctuation in essence prices has really took a toll on the runecrafters, as essence
can be as much as 120 gp each these days.
Runecrafting is only good if there is a high input put in, meaning that you can’t AFK
with Runecrafting, also I strongly advise to use the abyss to runecraft, only because it is so much faster than the tradition
routes. Some tips to get you started: You will NEED pouches, this really increases
the speed of Runecrafting, and they are free so you may as well get one. You will need a good few glories, try to get more
than 15, as you will need this amount to make any decent amount of runes before having to recharge them, saying that, you
will also need to have heroes quest completed so you can recharge your glories.
Natures are probably
your best option to craft, as they are the easiest to sell on the forums and unlike the law temple in Entrana you can wear
mage resilient items, such as black dragon hide, coifs, and what not.
As your
Runecrafting level will increase you will be able to use large pouches and giants pouches, which only make the process faster.
Generally, if you pay close attention to the game, Runecrafting can make you 1,000 natures (320k cash) an hour, without the
giant pouch, so it is extremely worth your while attempting Runecrafting

What to look
out for
Runecrafting using the
abyss has its downsides. You are always susceptible to getting pked, which believe it or not can set you back hours. Losing
a glory amulet or two isn’t the worst part of Runecrafting, but losing the pouches can really put a toll on your overall
efforts, as it can take hours to get them all back. There are ways to reduce your loses, this is how I do it.
This is what to carry
in your invent, if you have an ectophial instead of Camelot teleport runes, that is a bonus.

This is what you wear
while Runecrafting. Bring a duelling ring, just incase you forget your ectophial or runes and glory. Believe me it may sound
stupid, but after a long time Runecrafting you are bound to slip somewhere. Also you could bring a pick, or woodcutting axe
instead of a bow, I bring bow for protection only, or you could also wear a legends cape, and a cheap mirror shield, against
dds attacks.
Another great idea, instead of bring teleporting runes
and an ecophial, is to carry a prayer restore potion, in the bottom right of your invent, so you won't drink it by accident,
and when you are getting attacked, drink the potion, put protect item on (Glory protects over black hide), after this drop
all your items i.e. your pouches, and dragonhide and pick. Then return to Edgeville with your glory and retrieve your lost
items. This method saving my bacon on a few very close occassions.
I also advise, that if
you have the quest done to respawn once you are dead in Falador, when you are getting attacked of guard, and you know there
is no chance of you surviving, drop your glory, and most importantly your pouches, then respawn in Falador, run to the back,
get a glory out and teleport to Edgeville and regain your lost items.
Another way to gain easy enough money, is to mine
pure essence. Recently Runescape essence prices have increased tremendously to as much as 120gp each!. This means
very easy money for low level members, with a mining level of 30 or above. Sadly non members cannot benefit from this, and
the creation of rune ess, means practically no money can be made from essence mining.
Miscellaneous Guides
Of course there are many methods of money making that my guide does not cover, as to cover every
method I would end up writing a book instead of a small internet guide. The most important thing to remember is to be creative,
if you have an idea, you may as well develop it and see if it pays off.
I also advise doing various small things to make some cash, ideas include banking every
raw material you chop, mine or fish, so they can be processed later. Another way to take a hold on the economy is, whenever
a huge new update is out, such as a new skill, the prices of everything else will fall, take advantage of this and buy them
while they're cheap and sell on again when the price rise to normal levels after the hubbub of the new skill dies down.
Ideas for Non Members
In a whole, non members are alot more disadvantaged than members, the range of money making ideas
is signifcantly shorter, but here are a few ideas to try out.
Cutting yews - This method is slow and painful, but can earn you a good build up of money if you
find a definite and good seller.
Mining- Definately stick to iron and coal, but obviously if you have 85 mining go for rune, but stay
clear from mith and adament. Sell coal for 150 each, and iron for 100 each, use forums or world 1 to sell your goods.
Mining ess - Not as profitable as it was, but it still can't go a miss, try getting a huge collection
of rune essence and browsing the forums looking for buyers.
Fishing - This method is very slow, as you cannot sell any fish below lobsters, and you have to go
to Karamja from Port Sarim everytime you bank. Try cooking your fish on the Island, this will give you a clearer idea of your
profits, as you cannot fortell how many you will burn.
Alching steel plates - Mine iron and coal ores, buy nature runes cheap from practically any banks.
Easy as that.
Merchanting - Need money to start it, and patience. I personally wasn't very good at merchanting
so i'm not to sure on what are good to merchant.
Clan pking - Great way to make money in non members, although you need a trusty team, decent
stats, and the food, arrows, potions, weapons etc to start
Well that about wraps it up for the money making guide, I hope it has been of use to you, and gave
you some ideas. Watch the updates section for more money making guide updates.
